What
is Energy Healing -
By Anne Jones (founder of Hearts and Hands)
Natural
healing has been called many things in the past; “Spiritual
Healing”, “Hands on Healing”, “Faith
Healing” are just some. I personally prefer to use the
name Energy Healing for this is what it is. Let me explain
a little how it works and describe the process that we teach
at Hearts and Hands.
The
Human Energy Body
We are energy beings. Every atom and every cell of our body
is surrounded by an energy field, therefore our entire physical
body is surrounded by a field of energy which we refer to
as an aura, this spreads about an arm’s length all around
our body.
Energy flows around and through
our body along lines called meridians. When we are healthy
and balanced physically, mentally and emotionally then the
energy will flow smoothly along the meridians to our entire
being to maintain good health and wellbeing.
If our energy flow
is inhibited for some reason then we can become sick, depressed
and below par. Our aura reflects our state of mind and our
emotional balance and before we actually become sick. One
of the intentions of a healing session is to ensure that the
aura is clear and that a good and smooth flow is re-established.
Let’s look at what can cause blockages and problems
for healthy energy flow.
Energy Blocks
There are several reasons why our energy becomes blocked.
Here is a brief description of some of these:
|
Thoughtforms
- as we are beings of energy so our thoughts
are also energy. The energy and the emotions that are
attached to our thoughts go to the focus and attention
of our thoughts. Therefore if we are thinking lovingly
of someone that person will benefit from our loving
energy, energy that is light and uplifting, this is
one of the reasons why prayer works so well. If, however,
we worry and become anxious the energy created by these
negative thoughts will be dense and heavy. If we are
fearful for ourselves and our future this heavy energy
will stay in our aura and create masses that become
blocks which will hinder the smooth movement of energy
streams through the meridians. |
 |
Imprints - Any traumatic
or negative experience will have an impact on our energy field
and will leave an imprint. These imprints can also affect
our energy flow.
|
This is the impact
of a shock on the personal energy field (the aura) –
this will leave an imprint that affects cellular memory
and can stay for some considerable time, especially
if the emotions related to the incident are suppressed.
The outcome can be depression, fear, panic attacks and
even physical problems.
|
Suppressed
Emotions - All situations that have occurred in the
past where we have held onto our feelings and suppressed our
emotions are potentially harmful to us.
Energy Centres
Important features to our aura are the energy centres that
are located on our energy field and act as transmitters and
receivers of energy to and from our personal field and the
energies around us. The state of these energy centres is key
to our wellbeing. Emotional upsets, stress, physical problems
and our thoughts will affect the performance of these transmitters
and therefore the flow of energy around our body. These centres
are known as chakras which is the Sanskrit word for spinning
wheel as this is what they look like – a vortex of spinning
energy rather like a small tornado!
The main chakras are located on the
aura/body in these locations:

Each chakra has an impact
on our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being.
The healing process will encourage the chakras to spin in
a perfectly balanced circle and this will help the associated
aspects of the body to come into harmony too. For example
if you have a headache your crown chakra and your third eye
will be affected. The healing can clear your headache by lifting
the heavy energies around your head and will bring the chakras
back into balance too. Alternatively, by healing the chakras
we can avoid future physical symptoms by ensuring that the
energy flows to all parts of our being strongly and clearly.
It is a good idea to balance your own chakras daily to ensure
they stay balanced. There is a meditation for balaning chakras
on the
Hearts and Hands CD The Healing Magic of Visualisation 1 by

Can anybody do
healing?
Everyone has the natural ability to heal. The two main ingredients
to make a successful healer are the ability to give love unconditionally
and the intention to channel universal healing energies for
you will be acting as a conduit for the energies of love.
These energy streams are of such high vibration that they
will uplift the spirits of the person you are helping and
assist in the releasing of the imprints left of their energy
field by past experiences. This will help them to let go anxiety
and disharmony resulting in feelings of calm and balance.
How
is it done?
There are many methods of healing with energys including Reiki
Sekhem, Pranic etc. Here is a simple intuitive mthod that
Hearts & Hands teach. There are two basic steps to this
healing process. Firstly you clear and then you energise.
The intention of the clearing is to dissolve the congested
energies caused by the negative thoughts of worry, anger and
frustration that collect in the aura when a person is stressed
or when they have had an upsetting or traumatic experience.
It also helps to clear old emotions that they might be holding
within themselves from the past. Bad experiences leave imprints
on our energy body and the clearing process helps to release
these and associated memories that are the unconscious source
of much of our anxiety and fear.
If possible work in a quiet
place and put a bowl of salty water nearby to receive the
negative energies relased in the healing.
Step One - Protection
To protect yourself from the energies of the person you are
helping see yourself surrounded by a violet flame, this is
a powerful protective visualisation. You can also use the
Ripple anointing oil Protection which you can purchase from
our Ripple Website.
Step Two –
Asking for Help
If you wish you can say a short prayer or ask for help from
the spirit world e.g. angels, Jesus, Buddha, Kwan Yin, Shiva,
Kali, Mother Mary etc. whatever feels right for you. Otherwise
you put out the intention that the very highest good will
come to the person you are helping
Sweeping - Clearing
This is the first step of the healing. Using your hands as
a comb sweep through your patient’s aura from above
the head down to their feet. Flick the energy that you are
releasing into the bowl of water. You may or may not feel
the differences of the energy of person as you pass your hands
over them. If you feel a “sticky” area then give
that extra sweeping and remember to give this more attention
when energising. This part of the process will make the patient
relax and lighter and extremely therapeutic. Continue for
about five minutes.
The sweeping is excellent
for clearing away toxicity of any kind and for clearing congestion
such as a stuffy nose or sinusitis.
If your patient has a headache
using your hands comb from the head out to about 2 feet all
around the head.
With babies this process
can be all they actually need for healing and is particularly
good for helping with fevers.
Step Four -
Energising
For the next stage our motivation is to energise and uplift
the spirits of the person. We do this by consciously opening
ourselves to the highest vibrations of energy in the universe
– these are the streams of love and compassion that
flow from the source of all (God, Spirit, the Creator, the
Greater Consciousness) either directly or through masters
such as Jesus, Buddha, Kwan Yin etc. By using a powerful healing
symbol you send your intention to the universe to allow these
energies to pass through you to the person you are helping.
No other action is required on your part other than holding
a state of a loving concern. You will always be the channel
you do not give of your own energy other than through the
actions of the treatment.
The Healing Symbol
 |
Start
by drawing this in the air with your finger or hand
from the right hand side and finishes with the dot.
Repeat three times and then you will sense the energies
passing through your hands. Place them where seems appropriate
on or above your patient. This is an instinctive form
of healing so just follow your intuition. If your patient
has pain they may feel heat from your hands as the energy
passes to them.
This symbol only works
in combination with love.

What are the results?
What results are likely from a healing
session? Most people feel lighter, spiritually uplifted and
physically relaxed. During the session people sometimes feel
the energies moving and tingling in their arms, legs, hands
and feet. Anxieties and burdens can be lifted and emotionally
the person will often feel more balanced. Some people have
been known to have physical benefits as well, but remember
healing is not curing and so much depends on what the “patient”
wishes to release. Have no expectations and allow the process
and the person to take what they will from the session.
What can you do to improve your
channelling abilities?
To become more effective as a healer you will need to work
on your own issues of fear, self confidence, guilt, anger
etc. We suggest you read “Heal Yourself” by Anne
Jones (link to Books on Ripple website) and work on healing
your own past and present attitudes, reactions to life and
emotional scars that you may carry. As you let go of the past
and live more effectively in the present, as you learn to
respect and care for yourself so you ability to love unconditionally
will develop and you will become a purer and more open channel.
There are teachers trained
in this technique in different
countries of the world and Anne teaches these and other
healing techniques on her Healer’s Training Program.
She also gives healing sessions when she travels to different
part of the world. (www.annejones.org)
